Abstract
These Regulations provide for the control of hunting and the protection of animals (as defined by the Wild Life Protection Act). The Regulations provide, among other things for: form of a State Game Licence; State Game Licence fees; restrictions on the capturing of birds; prohibitions to use hunting lights; closed seasons; hunting in forest reserves; captivity of protected animals; sale of protected animals; powers of Game Warden or constable; and clipping of wings of protected birds.
The Regulations are completed by two Schedules: Form of State Game Licence (1); Acknowledgement of Release of Protected Animal (2)). The First Schedule contains the compulsory form for licences issued under section 6 of the principal Act.
