Abstract
These Regulations prohibit any trawling on the east coast of Trinidad and Tobago (as defined in the Schedule to these Regulations) and place restrictions on the dragging or pulling of a trawl net on the bottom of the sea in order to catch a demersal or bottom living species on the north coast (as defined in the Schedule to these Regulations). Demersal trawling is permitted on the north coast in territorial waters beyond a line of two nautical miles from the coast. Standards for mesh and the cod end of a trawl are prescribed.
