Abstract
This Order of the Minister in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 4A(b), (e) and (g) of the Plant Protection Act, for the purpose of controlling the spread of the Black Sigatoka Disease to Tobago: (a) prohibits, controls or restricts the transportation of any part of the Musa plant, with the exception of treated fruits and planting material, outside of the boundaries as defined in the Schedule; and (b) specifies precautions to be taken in cases where fruits and planting material are to be transported to Tobago. Those precautions concern the handling and use of leaves of bananas and plantain plants and treatment of fruits which are to be transported outside of the declared boundaries.
