Abstract
This Act introduces a series of measures to control praedial larcency in relation to livestock. Section 2a provides for the establishment of a Praedial Larcency Squad which shall fight praedial larcency and shall consist of (police) officers appointed by the Commissioner of Police. All persons trading in livestock (any farm animal and carcass skin or head of such animal) shall be registered under section 3. Sellers of livestock shall provide buyers with a memorandum of sale in accordance with section 3A. Other provisions of the Act deal with measures against illegal trade in livestock. (33 sections)
