Abstract
These Rules implement provisions of the Forests Act relating to removal of timber from specified areas. Timber may be removed from Proclaimed Districts under a permit to convey or to move timber in the form as set out in the Schedule to these Rules. Such permits shall be issued by authorized officers of Proclaimed Districts and other persons appointed by the Conservator of Forests. The authorized officer may refuse a permit unless he or she is satisfied that the timber originates from private land with the consent of the owner or from State land in accordance with a licence granted under the State Lands Forest Procedure Rules.
