Declaration of the Outer Limits of the Exclusive Economic Zone 2012 (L.N. No. 12 of 2012).

This Order, made under section 11(3) of the Maritime Zones Act 2012, defines, in Schedule 1, the outer limits of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of Tuvalu towards the high seas and Kiribati, and the provisional outer limits of the Exclusive Economic Zone towards the Islands of Wallis and Futuna and Fiji. It also: includes an illustrative chart in Schedule 2 and a guide to reading Schedule 1; specifies relevant treaties for points indicated in Schedule 1; and declares that where a treaty between a neighbouring State and Tuvalu remains to be finalised, Tuvalu has chosen to declare a provisional median line along its border with that State.
