Tuvalu Sustainable Tourism Policy 2022-2032.

The Policy is designed based on the goals for environment sustainability and resilience, inclusive economic prosperity, unique culture, respectful relationships, health, safety, and security, sustainable experiences and products. The Policy presents three key priorities that are development of tourism products and experience (1); training and upskilling of the tourism sector's entrepreneurs and employees (2); and promotion and awareness of tourism products and experiences. The text describes that tourism shall contribute to the preservation and conversation of the environment in Tuvalu through learning and appreciating the significance of environment; while tourism operators shall be encouraged to use renewable energy, recycling, water conservation and responsible waste management mechanism. The Policy further lays out for sustainable development pillars and risk management framework.
