Agreement between the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Government of the Republic of Seychelles on the delimitation of the maritime boundary of the Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf.

The Agreement provides for delimitation between the exclusive economic zone and the continental shelf of the United Republic of Tanzania (Mafia Island) and the exclusive economic zone and the continental shelf of the Republic of Seychelles (Aldabra Atoll-Picard Island. The delimitation line shall be based on equidistance considered, in this particular case, as an equitable solution, in conformity with international law. This line has been determined by using the baseline from which the territorial sea of each State is measured. Article 2 gives a description of the maritime boundary. The two States shall cooperate with each other on the protection, exploitation of resources, surveillance, monitoring and enforcement of laws in accordance with the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and disputes shall be resolved by peaceful means in accordance with international law.
