Abstract
The Minister shall, not later than 1 July 1996, cause to be incorporated subject to this Act, a company to be known as the Cooperative and Rural Development Bank (1996) Limited. The company shall be a body corporate and take over all assets, liabilities and business of the Cooperative and Rural Development Bank (sect. 3). The objectives of the Bank shall be: (a) to make available long and medium term finance for the purpose of promoting rural development; (b) to provide technical assistance and advice for the purpose of promoting rural development; (c) to undertake such activities as may be necessary or advantageous for purposes of furthering the foregoing objectives (sect. 4).
