Abstract
Rules to make further provision for the formation, registration, organization, management, property, membership, amalgamation and division of cooperative societies and to provide special rules with respect to various categories of cooperative societies. Part VIII contains special provisions for: (a) agricultural cooperative societies; (b) joint enterprises; (c) industrial cooperative societies; (d) consumer cooperatives; and (e) savings and credit societies. Provisions pertaining to agricultural cooperatives define the objectives of such cooperatives and regulate matters such as management, allocation of production factors, feasibility studies for registration, the making of By-laws, and certain other matters. The Agricultural Cooperative shall be guided by a management committee (rule 53) which may make a scheme for the facilitation of payment of cash crops and agricultural credit facilities (rule 58). A Society shall make By-laws in respect of matters listed in rule 59. (125 rules divided into 11 Parts, 1 Schedule)
