Abstract
These Regulations provide rules relative to the procedures for and carrying out of environmental impact studies and environmental audits as provided for under the Environmental Management Act. They prohibit the carrying out of projects without an environmental impact assessment required under the Environmental Management Act and define the contents and form of an environmental impact assessment and the basic principles of an environmental audit.
A developer shall apply for an environmental impact assessment certificate in the form as prescribed by these Regulations. The final decision on an environmental impact assessment shall be taken by the Minister. The Regulations also provide for public hearings in relation with environmental impact assessments and appeal against decisions of the Minister.
