Forests (Control of Movement of Forest Produce) (All species of Timber) Order, 1995 (G.N. No. 509 of 1995).

"No person shall move from any part of Tanzania mainland any timber without first obtaining a Timber Movement Permit from the Chief Conservator or any other Officer authorized by him to do so on his behalf" (art. 3). The issue of the permit shall be of absolute discretion of the Chief Conservator, who may issue a permit for such quantities of timber and upon such terms and conditions as he may think fit (art. 4).
