Abstract
There is established a research institute which takes the form of a body corporate. The Institute shall promote the development, improvement and protection of the wildlife industry in the Republic of Tanzania through research and coordination of research and the collection and distribution of information and data regarding wildlife. There is a Board of Directors and centres specified in the First Schedule are to be controlled and managed by the Institute. All land held by the Institute is to be considered private land for purposes of the Wildlife Conservation Act, 1974. Powers and operations of the Institute in relation to wildlife research are outlined in Part III. Section 12 outlines the powers of the Director of Game appointed under section 3 of the Act.
