Abstract
These by-laws, which apply to the area under the jurisdiction of the Ukerewe District Council declare the areas in the first Schedule to be preserved areas (sect. 3), prescribe that every village shall put aside areas for forest conservation and the planting of trees (sect. 4) and that every household and primary school shall plant trees. Sections 6 to 8 concern forest protection measures and offences.
