Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of Hungary on cooperation in the field of environmental protection and land use planning.

The Contracting Parties have agreed to cooperate in the following fields: (a) protection against air pollution; (b) protection against water pollution, in particular in the Tisa river basin; (c) mitigation of the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear accident; (d) cooperation between the National Parks and biosphere reserves and the creation of joint protected areas; (e) environmental monitoring; (f) environmental audit; (f) waste management; (g) land use planning, including conservation of the cultural heritage and the development of transboundary areas; (h) education; (i) joint-ventures with the application of ecofriendly processes and technologies (art. 2). The cooperation shall be carried out in the following forms: (a) exchange of experts and scientists; (b) conferences and symposia; (c) exchange of patents and licences; (d) joint programmes and projects (art. 3).
