Abstract
The Parties have agreed as follows: (a) development of fisheries and fish-processing industry; and (b) exploration of fishery resources in the territorial sea of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. The Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania shall ensure to the Ukrainian fishing vessels the necessary conditions for carrying out fisheries. The number of the Ukrainian fishing vessels authorized to carry out fisheries shall be established annually by a Protocol to be attached to this Agreement. Ukrainian fishing vessels shall be authorized to replenish the stock of foodstuffs in the Mauritanian seaport.

Entry into force notes
This Agreement shall be effective from the date of receiving of the last written confirmation of the Parties on carrying out all the necessary internal procedures for its coming into force.
Notes
The Agreement shall be valid until 31 December 1997, after which date the Parties shall carry out diplomatic procedures for its renewal.
