Agreement between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on cooperation in the field of quarantine of plants.

The Contracting Parties, in accordance with the applicable laws of their States, pledge to: (a) take the necessary measures to prevent the introduction of regulated pests from the territory of the state of one Contracting Party into the territory of the state of the other Contracting Party in the process of import, export and transit; (b) exchange rules and regulations governing measures for quarantine and plant protection in the territories of the states of both Contracting Parties; (c) exchange information on the occurrence and spread of regulated pests in the territories of the Contracting Parties; (d) exchange information on research activities in the field of quarantine and plant protection; (e) exchange specialists for the purpose of performing a selective phytosanitary inspection of cargoes with the objects of regulation at the places of production, cultivation, harvesting and shipment, operative solution of quarantine and plant protection issues at checkpoints, as well as for studying the achievements of science and practice in the field quarantine and plant protection; (f) to provide mutual scientific, technical and other assistance in carrying out quarantine of plants related to the detection, localization and elimination of harmful organisms, decontamination, etc.; and (g) exchange notifications of non-compliance of phytosanitary measures and relevant documents proving non-compliance.
