Abstract
This Decree determines the organizational grounds for conservation of degraded and unproductive lands, including reserve land, land plots, which tenure and management are ecologically unsafe and economically inefficient, as well as technogenically polluted land plots, on which it is impossible to obtain ecological production, while stay of persons on such land puts at risk their health. Conservation of land is carried out by terminating or restricting their economic use in the manner prescribed by law for a certain period and grassland renovation, afforestation or renaturalization thereof. Conservation of land is carried out independently of the form of ownership thereof by the initiative of the owner, or on the basis of the submission of a respective territorial body of the territorial authorities of the State Geological Cadastre and/or the territorial body of the State Ecological Inspection. Conservation of privately owned land is carried out by the decision of the relevant village, settlement, city council, on the territory of which the land plot is located, on the basis of a land conservation contract. The contract on conservation of privately owned land is concluded between the owner of the land plot and the relevant village, settlement, city council in writing and contains the following information about the land plot: (a) cadastral number (if any); (b) location and size; (c) type and method of land conservation; and (d) cost and term of land conservation. Other terms of the contract are determined by agreement of the parties.
