Joint Order No. 71 of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and of the State Veterinary Department validating the Veterinary requirements regarding import of cattle.

The Regulation consists of 35 Sections setting veterinary requirements for import of the following commodities: 1) cattle (sect. 1) ; 2) bull sperm (sect. 2); 3) cattle embryos (sect. 3); 4) cattle, sheep and goats destined for slaughtering (sect. 4); 5) pedigree and common sheep and goats (sect. 5); 6) ram sperm (sect. 6); 7) pedigree and common swine (sect. 7); 8) boar sperm (sect. 8); 9) swine destined for slaughtering (sect. 9); 10) pedigree, common and sport horses (sect. 10); 11) horses for the participation in the international exhibitions (sect. 11); 12) stud-horse sperm (sect. 12); 13) horses destined for slaughtering (sect. 13); 14) day-old poultry and incubation eggs thereof (sect. 14); 15) fur-bearing animals, rabbits, cats and dogs (sect. 15); 16) wild animals, zoo and circus animals (sect. 16); 17) import of live fish, hard-roe, crayfish, crustaceans, fish feed and other hydrobionts (sect. 17); 18) honeybees and bumblebees (sect. 18); 19) reindeer (sect. 19); 20) camelids (sect. 20); 21) primates (sect. 21); 22) meat and meat-based products (sect. 22); 23) poultry meat (sect. 23); 24) horse-flesh (sect. 24); 25) canned meat, sausages and other meat-based products (sect. 25); 26) meat of rabbits (sect. 26); 27) milk and dairy products (sect. 27); 28) meat of wild animals; 29) fish products, seafood and heat-treated fish products (sect. 29); 30) animal by-products (sect. 30); 31) fishmeal (sect. 31); 32) ready meal and fodder additives of animal origin (sect. 32); 33) animal feedstuffs and fodder additives of animal origin (sect. 33); 34) animal feedstuffs of vegetable origin (sect. 34); 35) ready meals for cats and dogs (sect. 35). Healthy pedigree cattle and cattle destined for slaughtering, including sheep and goats, born and grown in the exporting country, with the period of pregnancy not exceeding five years, non-vaccinated against brucellosis, foot-and-mouth disease, leptospirosis and cattle-plague, originating from the farms and administrative units free from infectious animal disease shall be authorized for import into Ukraine. The Regulation establishes general veterinary and sanitary requirements for import of animal products and animal feedstuffs.
