Law No. 794-VII “On Cabinet of Ministers”.

It establishes the Cabinet's responsibilities in formulating and executing state policies across various sectors, including economic, social, and environmental domains. Implementation of this Law requires the Cabinet to align its normative acts with the Constitution and the new legal provisions within three months of the Law's publication. This includes the adoption of necessary regulatory measures and the review of existing legislation by ministries and central executive bodies. Secondary themes include the promotion of scientific and technological innovation, social protection, and the development of state programs aimed at economic and cultural advancement, highlighting the government's proactive approach to policy formulation. The Law mandates the Cabinet to ensure sustainable environmental practices and the rational use of natural resources. It outlines responsibilities for developing and executing state and interstate ecological programs, including environmental security, nature management and tourism, as well as managing land, water, and biodiversity resources. Specific measures include the establishment of environmental protection policies and the coordination of efforts among various governmental and local authorities to address ecological challenges, thereby reinforcing the importance of sustainable development in Ukraine's agricultural and natural resource sectors. This Law contains XI Sections divided into 57 Articles. Section I lays down general provisions. Section II regards composition of, and procedure for forming the Cabinet of Ministers. Section III establishes powers and the procedure for resignation of the Cabinet of Ministers. Section IV establishes the competence of the Cabinet of Ministers. Section V establishes powers of the Cabinet of Ministers in relations with executive bodies. Section VI establishes powers of the Cabinet of Ministers in relations with the President of Ukraine. Section VII establishes powers of the Cabinet of Ministers in relations with the Parliament, bodies formed thereby, and deputies. Section VIII regards relations of the Cabinet of Ministers with other state bodies, local government bodies and public associations. Section IX regards organization of the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers. Section X establishes social protection and other types of protection of the members of the Cabinet of Ministers. Section XI lays down transitional and conclusive provisions.
