Law No.2333-III of 2001 regarding validation of the National program of protection and rehabilitation of the areas of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.

The purpose of the National program is to favour the concentration of efforts of all the subjects of administration and management of the areas of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea as regards elaboration and carrying out the arrangements aimed at the improvement of ecological situation of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. The document consists of VII Secs. Section I introduces the terminology. Section II establishes the target and the terms of realization of the Program. Section III defines the contemporary ecological situation of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. Section IV specifies the main problems of ecological situation of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea and establishes the ways of their solution. Section V determines complex environmental protection arrangements aimed at gradual improvement of ecological situation of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. Section VI establishes mechanism of realization of the tasks of the Program. Section VII regards international cooperation.
