MEMORANDUM on Mutual Understanding between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Ministry of Agriculture of Latvia on cooperation in the field of agriculture.

Cooperation between the Parties includes, inter alia, the following areas: (a) exchange of experience at the stage of associate membership of the Ukraine in the European Union, in particular in the areas of the food industry, plant growing, stockbreeding, plant variety rights, fisheries, veterinary and phytosanitary control, and the administration of EU funds; (b) exchange of experience on the development of cooperative societies for the provision of agricultural services; (c) exchange of experience in the field of training in agriculture and provision of consultancy services; (d) the strengthening and development of relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Latvia regarding trade in agricultural and food products; (e) promoting the establishment of direct links between agricultural institutions, agricultural and food businesses; (f) the establishment of direct cooperation between the competent authorities; (g) mutual exchange of experts from the competent authorities in accordance with the areas of interest of both countries; (h) exchange of experience on modern technologies for the production and processing of agricultural and food products; (i) joint research in the field of agriculture, including the exchange of scientific data, documents and publications; (j) organization of forums, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, training visits and training on matters relating to the agrarian sector; and (k) any other forms of cooperation with the mutual consent of the Parties.
