Ministerial Decree No. 1755 validating the Program of development of the infrastructure of the market of fish, other aquatic living resources and foodstuffs manufactured thereof for the period of 2005 - 2010.

The Program is composed of 6 Sections. The purpose of the Program is to set up conditions for the formation and development of fish market, creation of conditions for processing of fish products on the national territory, setting up favourable conditions for the development of the source of raw materials for fish-processing industry and fishing fleet of the Ukraine. The main targets of the Program are: 1) to determine the main directions of state policy in the fisheries branch of economy and setting up the conditions for the efficient functioning of internal fish market; 2) to ensure food security and raising up the efficiency of fish-processing and fish-storing enterprises and raising up the quality of fish products. The main directions of the fulfilment of the Program are: 1) incentives for the delivery of the national fish products to the internal market and for export; 2) expansion of the source of raw materials for fish-processing industry; 3) raising the quality and safety of fish products. The Program envisages the conformation of standards and certification systems of the national fish products and veterinary and sanitary inspection requirements to the international standards and the improvement of fish quality control requirements.
