Ministerial Decree No. 942 validating the Regulation on the modalities of carrying out state registration of foodstuffs and validation of the resolution of state sanitary and epidemiological expertise of foodstuffs.

The present Regulation establishes the main requirements for carrying out state registration of foodstuffs for special uses, keeping the State register of foodstuffs for special uses and register of the resolutions of state sanitary and epidemiological expertise of foodstuffs, release of information contained in the aforesaid registers, and also payment for carrying out expertise and services. The State Sanitary and epidemiological service is the authorized institution entitled with the task of keeping the State register of foodstuffs for special uses and register of the resolutions of state sanitary and epidemiological expertise. Trade, delivery, storage and transport (except for transit) and utilization of foodstuffs, including foodstuffs for special uses not registered in conformity with the modalities established by law shall be prohibited on the territory of Ukraine. Foodstuffs for special uses produced on the national territory and imported into Ukraine shall be subject to compulsory state registration before putting them into circulation. In the process of carrying out expertise for the purpose of the assessment of data regarding safety, efficiency and quality of foodstuffs for special purposes the expert institution has the right to require in the written form the additional materials from the applicant.
