Abstract
The present Instruction establishes veterinary and sanitary arrangements in case of the outbreak of chicken infectious anaemia, the modalities of carrying out the preventive arrangements against chicken infectious anaemia, the modalities of the internal utilization of eggs and poultry products obtained from sick chickens and shall be compulsory for all poultry keeping enterprises. The disease shall be diagnosed on the basis of the study of epizootic data, clinical signs, pathological and anatomical changes and laboratory research with the obligatory extraction of virus and the determination of pathogenicity thereof. Samples of blood serum and chickens shall be sent for laboratory testing. Virus shall be extracted from spleen, liver and leucocytes where it accumulates. Directors and specialists of poultry farming enterprises must strictly observe veterinary and sanitary requirements set for poultry farming enterprises. Protection of the poultry farming enterprise against the introduction of chicken infectious anaemia shall be organized. For the aforesaid purpose only incubatory eggs originating from the farms that are free of infectious diseases shall be admitted while the incubation shall be carried out in a separate incubator on the condition of separation from the incubatory eggs obtained in the given farm. Replacement chickens shall be kept apart from mature poultry sticking to the intercycle intervals. Sanitary arrangements shall be applied in the poultry-yards, incubators and other working premises before the introduction of a new flock. The following arrangements shall be carried out for the prevention of the outbreak of chicken infectious anaemia: 1) immunization of parent flock; 2) laboratory testing of poultry feed and the sanitary state of poultry-yards; 3) permanent arrangements for the extermination of rodents, parasites and the prevention of the introduction of wild birds into poultry-yards; 4) poultry placenta shall be stored on a special isolated ground for the subsequent disinfection by hot-water treatment; 5) packages and transport shall be disinfected after each transportation.
