Order No. 197 of the Ministry of Public Health validating the State sanitary norms and standards applicable to enterprises and fishing vessels processing fish and other living aquatic resources.

The State sanitary norms and standards are applicable to enterprises and fishing vessels processing fish and other living aquatic resources is the compulsory normative and legislative act of the central executive body in the sphere of the protection of public health that sets sanitary, hygienic and anti-epidemic requirements for the processing of living aquatic resources and manufacturing of fish products. The State sanitary norms and standards shall be applicable to coast enterprises and fishing vessels processing fish and other living aquatic resources irrespectively of the form of ownership. The enterprises have the right to process and manufacture fish products in conformity with the authorization. The authorization shall be issued in conformity with the positive conclusion of the state sanitary and epidemiological expertise. All the objects and premises contacting foodstuffs shall be subject to sanitary and hygienic inspection.
