Order No. 2264 of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture validating the Procedure for maintaining the List of persons engaged in the production (cultivation) of genetically modified plants, animals, fungi, microorganisms, and the form of notification of the intention to carry out activities for the production (cultivation) of genetically modified plants, animals, fungi, microorganisms.

This Order validates the Procedure for maintaining a register of entities engaged in the production (cultivation) of genetically modified (GM) plants, animals, fungi, and microorganisms, along with a standardized notification form for declaring such activities. The Order mandates the adoption of both the procedural rules for maintaining the register and the template for notifying authorities of intent to undertake GM-related production activities.
The approved Procedure defines the scope, administration, and functioning of the register. It applies to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs involved in producing GM organisms included in the national State Register of GMOs. The register is maintained electronically by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, which must ensure open, continuous, and free public access to its data while complying with personal data protection legislation. To be included, producers must submit a notification of intent prior to commencing activities, either in paper or electronic form, and the authority must record the information in the register no later than the next working day.
The Procedure also specifies in detail the information to be included in the register, such as identification data of producers, location and activity details, land information, descriptions and registration data of GM organisms, expected production volumes, and contact information. Certain data are designated as publicly accessible, while sensitive data are protected in accordance with data protection laws. The Procedure further regulates updates and removal: producers must notify authorities of any changes, and entries can be removed within two working days upon request, with a formal record of exclusion. The annexed notification form standardizes the submission of all required information by producers.
