Order No. 323 of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food validating some normative legal acts regarding animal quarantine and animal collection centers.

Requirements for animal quarantine apply to relations between facility operators, state veterinary inspectors, official veterinarians and licensed veterinarians responsible for organizing and conducting preventive quarantine of animals that are moved from one facility to another. These requirements shall be applicable to poultry and sports horses. Preventive quarantine is carried out in the following places: (a) at the facility at the destination of animals - in case of movement of animals between territories (zones, regions or compartments) with the same veterinary and sanitary status within the territory of Ukraine; (a) at facilities at the place of departure and at the place of destination of animals - in case of movement of animals between territories (zones, regions or compartments) with different veterinary and sanitary status within the territory of Ukraine; and (c) at the quarantine station designated by the sender of the animals, on the territory of Ukraine - in case of movement of animals outside the territory of Ukraine. Preventive quarantine is not carried out in the case of moving animals from one facility to another, if such facilities have the same veterinary-sanitary status, are located within the territory (zone) that has the same veterinary-sanitary status, and are under the management of the same physical or legal entity. Requirements for animal collection centers apply to relations concerning the collection of domestic ungulates and domestic poultry. These Requirements are mandatory for: (a) market operators under whose control are collection centers for domestic ungulates and poultry; and (b) state veterinary inspectors. Collection centers for domestic ungulates and poultry must be equipped with facilities intended for isolation of domestic ungulates and poultry. Only domestic ungulates and domestic poultry belonging to the same species and having the same veterinary-sanitary status can be kept in animal collection centers (in case of a difference in the veterinary-sanitary status, the lower veterinary-sanitary status is applied to the specified animals).
