Order No. 323-r of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Strategy of the integrated automated radiation monitoring system for the period until 2024.

Strategy of the integrated automated radiation monitoring system for the period until 2024 is a nationwide multi-sectoral policy document. The strategic goal is the real-time detection of radiation pollution and risks of transboundary transfer of radioactive substances. To assess the achievement of the strategic goal, the following indicators are defined: (a) integrated automated radiation monitoring system put into operation; (b) the share of object automated systems for monitoring the radiation situation and points of the state system of hydrometeorological observations of the State Emergency Service, the data of which are automatically transmitted to the integrated automated radiation monitoring system (percentages); (c) open real-time access to monitoring results is provided; and (d) the integrated automated radiation monitoring system is synchronized with the European online radiological data exchange platform. As a result of the implementation of the Strategy, it is planned to create an integrated automated radiation monitoring system that functions correctly and is compatible with the EU radiological monitoring system, which makes it possible to detect radiation pollution and risks of cross-border transfer of radioactive substances in real time. Implementation of the Strategy will contribute to the introduction of a modern tool for monitoring the radiation situation on the territory of Ukraine, increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of decision-making on the introduction of radiation protection measures in the event of a radiation risk, in particular in the case of cross-border transfer of radioactive substances, in accordance with international and national safety standards.
