Order No. 33 of the State Committee of Housing and Communal Services validating branch technological standards for the utilization of potable water by water supply and sewerage enterprises.

The present Regulation establishes branch technological standards for the utilization of potable water by water supply and sewerage enterprises and the modalities of calculation of the current individual branch technological standards for the utilization of potable water by water supply and sewerage enterprises for specific enterprises. The purpose of the Regulation is to establish rational water management by water supply and sewerage enterprises in the process of water abstraction, water purification, transport and trade of water. Branch technological standards shall be set in cubic metres for each 1000 cubic metres of supplied potable water or for discharge of each 1000 cubic metres of return water. Branch technological standards shall be applicable exclusively to the external network and works of the centralized water abstraction and water supply systems. Branch technological standards (Annex 1) shall be compulsory in the process of the elaboration of current individual branch technological standards for all enterprises and organizations carrying out centralized water supply and sewerage. Current individual branch technological standards shall be calculated with the consideration of local conditions (water quality in the centralized water supply source, composition of plumbing, service life and extension of sewerage and plumbing systems, hydrological conditions, etc.,). The calculation shall be carried out on annual basis.
