Order No. 538 of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food validating the List issues for implementation by the state bodies of veterinary medicine of planned measures of state supervision (control) and inspection for compliance with the legislation in the field of veterinary medicine in the agro-food markets.

This Order lists the issues for supervision (control) by state veterinary and sanitary inspectors for compliance with acting legislation during planned inspection of agro-food markets. In particular, it specifies the following areas of inspection for compliance with acting veterinary and sanitary requirements set for agro-food markets: (a) compliance with sanitary requirements related to location, distribution and separation of trading and subsidiary areas; (b) availability of water supply, sewerage and heating systems; (c) availability of state laboratory of veterinary and sanitary expertise; (d) availability of waste collectors; (e) application of one-day sanitary treatment of the territory once in a month; and (f) availability of specialized reserved areas for vending of vegetables and fruits, meat and poultry products, eggs and dairy products, fish products, honey, oils.
