Abstract
The present Instruction establishes veterinary and sanitary arrangements case of the outbreak of poultry coliobacteriosis in the poultry farming enterprises of all forms of ownership, the modalities of carrying out the preventive arrangements against poultry coliobacteriosis and shall be compulsory for all poultry keeping enterprises. The source of infection is ill poultry and previously infected and subsequently recovered from esherihiosis poultry that secrete virus through mucus, placenta, and eggs contaminated with placenta. The infection spreads through alimentary and aerogenic ways. The cause of the disease are the violation of the terms of replenishment of flocks, veterinary and sanitary arrangements of the operation of poultry-yards, poultry feeding and keeping technology. The disease shall be diagnosed on the basis of the study of clinical signs, pathological and anatomical changes and laboratory research if pathological material E.coli has been extracted. Pathogenic properties thereof shall be determined by means of biological test on chickens or white mice. The preventive arrangements envisage that eggs originating from the different poultry farms must not be mixed up for incubation, the incubation eggs from the proper poultry farming enterprise must be disinfected twice – no longer than one hour and a half after the transportation and before putting them into the incubator. Poultry of different age groups must be kept separately with the strict observance of zooveterinary arrangements, sanitary norm regarding the intervals between birds and the density of brooding grounds. Only healthy young poultry shall be taken for growing. Each lot of poultry feed introduced into poultry farm must pass inspection. Inactivated and live vaccines and also specific serum shall be used for the specific prophylaxis of poultry coliobacteriosis. In case of the exposure of coliobacteriosis quarantine shall be imposed prohibiting the following operations: 1) transfer of poultry from the infected poultry-yards to any other premise; 2) transfer of poultry and eggs to other poultry farms; 3) utilization of eggs originating from the infected poultry-yards for incubation; 4) utilization of poultry meat of conditionally healthy poultry for public catering without prior heat treatment.
