Abstract
The Parties have agreed that soya grown in the Ukraine (Latin name Glycine max Merrill.) shall be exported to China for processing, and non as planting material. Exported soya shall comply with standards and be free of quarantine organisms and pests. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine shall keep register of soya exporters to China in order to ensure that they comply with the relevant quarantine terms and conditions and must provide AQSIQ with a list of such registered exporters and elevators in advance. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine must ensure that exported soya is free of pests Phytophtora sojae, Verticillium albo-atrum, Verticillium dahliae, Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv. Flaccumfaciens, Alfalfa mosaic virus, Arabis mosaic virus, Tobacco ringspot virus and Ditylenchus dipsaci. Each lot of soya shall be accompanied by phytosanitary certificate. In the event of the detection of any other quarantine pests, such lot will be allowed to be imported after effective treatment. In the case of ineffective handling, such a lot should be returned or destroyed.

This Protocol shall enter into force on the date of signature.
Notes
This Protocol shall enter into force on the date of its signature and remain in force for a period of two years. If neither of the Parties informs the other Party in writing through diplomatic channels of its intention to amend or terminate this Protocol six months before the expiration of its term, the validity of this Protocol will be automatically extended for subsequent biennium periods.
