Resolution No. 1767 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Regulation on scientific and public examination of a set of food products, a set of non-alimentary commodities and a set of services for establishing minimum subsistence level.

This Regulation establishes the procedure for scientific and public examination of a set of food products, a set of non-alimentary commodities and a set of services for establishing minimum subsistence level in order to assess compliance thereof with consumption standards. Examination shall be performed by an expert commission consisting of 16 persons, which includes four representatives of central bodies of executive power, all-Ukrainian associations of organizations of employers and all-Ukrainian trade unions and their associations, and two representatives of each public and scientific institutions. The Ministry of Economy summarizes the proposals of central bodies of executive power on the formed set of food products, a set of non-alimentary commodities and a set of services for establishing minimum subsistence level and sends them to the members of the expert commission no less than a week before its meeting. A meeting of the expert commission is considered valid if it is attended by all members of the commission (authorized representatives). The decision of the expert commission is made by open voting by a simple majority of votes and is recorded in the minutes, which is signed by the chairman. If the expert commission has not approved the proposals of the central executive bodies, they are returned for review by these authorities within the period determined by the expert commission. In case of repeated disapproval by the expert commission the issue is submitted to the National Tripartite socio-economic council.
