Resolution No. 878-r of the Cabinet of Ministers validating ACTION PLAN on the implementation of the Concept for the implementation of the state policy on climate change for the period up to 2030.

This Action Plan implements Resolution No. 932-r of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Concept for the implementation of the state policy in the field of climate change for the period up to 2030. This policy document is multi-sectoral and involves the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Economic Development the Ministry of Regional Policy and State Agency for Energy Efficiency. It covers the whole national territory.
The projected government measures include constant monitoring, reporting and verification of greenhouse gas emissions and emissions trading, approval of nationally determined contribution of Ukraine to the Paris Agreement, validation of the functioning of the authorization system for greenhouse gas emissions, application of the latest financial instruments and mechanisms of public-private partnership in the field of climate change. The Cabinet of Ministers sets forth as priorities assessment of the results of the analysis of possible risks and advantages of the development of domestic nuclear power in achieving the state's goals for reducing anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases and measures for adaptation to climate change for sectors of the economy, objects of vital activity of the population and public healthcare system.
The Government commits to develop recommendations for adaptation of agriculture to climate change up to 2030 and to develop and validate he medium-term action plan for adaptation of forestry of Ukraine to climate change.
