Abstract
These Rules, made under section 20 of the Animal Diseases Act, provide for the control of importation of dogs. No person shall import into Uganda any dog except upon the authority of a written permit issued by the Commissioner of Livestock and Entomology, or any person authorized by him or her for that purpose. The Commissioner may endorse on the permit such conditions as he or she may think fit. The Rules set out various conditions that may be imposed including quarantine and restrictions on movement.
