Cotton (Amendment), Regulations, 2005 (S.I. No. 39 of 2005).

These Regulations amend the Cotton Regulations in regulations 3 to 9, 14, 15, 18, 19 and 24. It also inserts regulation 24A. Amendments concern, among other things, registration of dealers in seed cotton, cotton seed and lint cotton as a member of the Uganda Ginners and Cotton Exports Association, activities of registered persons and arbitration in case of grievance against decisions. Regulation 24A allows the Organisation, if it deems it fit, to notify the local government councils of any guidelines, regulations, actions, steps or instructions taken or issued by the Minister under the Act or by the Cotton Development Organization or the Association under these or other regulations in the ordinary course of the execution and performance of their functions and duties.
