Abstract
This strategy is proposed to enhance local government capacity for private investment, stimulate local economies, and foster partnerships for inclusive development planning. The strategy seeks to strengthen local government capacities for Local Economic Development (LED) planning and implementation, increase fully financed LED projects, and engage civil society organizations (CSOs) to integrate crosscutting issues into LED promotion. Additionally, the strategy aims to foster collaborative partnerships with the private sector, create a conducive business environment, promote policy coordination, and monitor and evaluate strategy implementation to ensure accountability and fulfillment of obligations by both the private and public sectors. The strategy is designed in 6 Parts and provides for situation analysis; strategic direction for LED promotion; strategy implementation; monitoring and evaluation and funding.
