Abstract
The National Tourism Sector Development Plan for Uganda outlines a strategic roadmap to enhance the country's tourism industry with a focus on sustainable development. The plan is consistent with the tourism master plan (2014/15 – 2024/25) by generating specific interventions and budgeted projects that lie on the critical path of tourism development over the period 2015/16 – 2019/20. The plan aims to ensure long-term sustainability by emphasizing the conservation of natural, historical, and cultural resources. Additionally, the plan underscores the significance of establishing tourism clusters to foster industry development and expansion. The plan aims to drive growth through marketing, human resource development, product innovation, conservation efforts, and regulatory measures, ultimately contributing to economic growth and job creation.
