Abstract
This Act provides with for the establishment of the Uganda Development Corporation as a body corporate, defines its object and its functions and powers, and provides rules for its organization and administration. The object of the Corporation is to promote and facilitate the industrial and economic development of Uganda. The Corporation shall, among other things, facilitate Government investment in strategic sectors of the economy, promote, facilitate and implement public private partnerships and to take over the interest of Government in the entities specified in Schedule 2 and administer those entities. The Corporation shall be governed by a Board. The Act also establishes an Industrial and Economic Development Fund.
