Abstract
These Regulations, made under sections 45, 46 and 94 of the Water Act, declare the area described in the Schedule to these Regulations to be a water supply area and appoint the Commissioner of Water Development as the water authority for that area. An internal supply rate shall be levied in respect of all premises supplied with water for domestic purposes in the water supply area. A general water rate shall be levied in respect of all premises in the Soroti water supply area other than premises which are more than one thousand feet from a water supply point. Additional rates are specified for hotels, restaurants, "cookshops", bakeries and butcheries. The Regulations also set out a fee for supplied water and prescribe the method of computing of such fee.
