Abstract
This Part 253 pertains to fisheries assistance programs, through long-term direct fisheries and aquaculture loans, in order to promote and encourage activities in support of the management of fishery resources, and to make financial assistance awards to States or Interstate Commissions for projects in support of management of fishery resources in both the executive economic zone (EEZ) and State waters. The Part concerns: application fees; aquaculture facility; capital construction fund; charter fishing; fisheries harvest authorisation; fishing industry; individual fishing quota; general credit standards and requirements; investigation and approval; enforcement violations and adverse actions; administrative requirements; Halibut sablefish and crabs individual fishing quota loans; harvesting rights loans; funds for disaster assistance.
