Abstract
This Part 261, implementing provisions of the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946, provides for authorising a standard for a fish or fishery product, developed and adopted by the voluntary seafood inspection program, pursuant to the provisions of the Act. This Part concerns: notification of an application for a new grade standard; revision and amendment of Standards for grades; basis for determination of a U.S. standard for grades, including: scope and product description; product forms; grades and inspection mark criteria; determination of grades; definition of defects associated with the products covered by the standard; hygiene requirements; methods of analysis.
