Abstract
This Part 520 implements the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. 552, by establishing procedures for inspecting and obtaining copies of nonexempt material maintained by the Commission, and related matters. These Regulations apply to all final opinions and orders made by the Commission in the adjudication of cases; to all statements of Policy and interpretations adopted by the Commission. Exempted materials include: documents specifically authorised to be kept secret in the interest of national defence or foreign policy; trade secrets and commercial or financial information; inter-agency or intra-agency memorandums; personnel and medical files; geological and geophysical information and data, including maps concerning wells. The Regulations concern: availability of materials; administrative appeals; extension of time; standard charges and fees for document search and publication.
