50 CFR § 660.600-660.604 - Fisheries of West Coast States - West Coast Groundfish Electronic Monitoring Program.

This Subpart J contains requirements for vessels using electronic monitoring programmes and related service providers, in order to provide the vessels with the best scientific information available to determine individual accountability for catch of individual fishing quota of defined species. The Regulations define: specific prohibitions; electronic monitoring provider permits and responsibilities; data collection and processing procedures; specific requirements for catcher vessels; issuance of fishing authorisation; provisions concerning protected species handling and disposition; provisions concerning seabirds, marine mammals, and sea turtles.
