Abstract
The Advancing Science in the Bureau of Land Management (BLM): An Implementation Strategy is a national sectoral strategy of the United States of America. Its main goals are to ensure effective and consistent science integration into the BLM’s core work processes; and ensure that relevant, timely scientific information is accessible to BLM staff and managers.
More specifically, the document aims to adopt, publish, and communicate the five principles and practices for more consistent science integration into land management core work processes; promote continuity of the science-land management integration culture throughout the agency and over time; communicate and translate new science results and science-land management integration successes; strengthen communities of practice, employee skills, and partnerships; identify and prioritize the changing needs of scientific information; and strengthen technology and data support.
