Amendment No. 2 to the Fishery Management Plan for the Stone Crab Fishery of the Gulf of Mexico and the South Atlantic.

This Amendment to the Fishery Management Plan (FMP) concerning stone crab fishery in the U.S. Fishery Conservation Zone (FCZ) of the Gulf of Mexico under the jurisdiction of the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council specifies a procedure for modifying the zoned area to resolve the gear conflict in Central West Florida between stone crab fisherman and trawl fishing. The zoned area indicates an area inshore of the line of separation in the FCZ. Stone crab fishing will be allowed only in alternate fishing areas and will be prohibited in the buffer zones.
