Abstract
This Act amends the Tuna Conventions Act of 1950 to implement the Convention for the Strengthening of the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission Established by the 1949 Convention Between the United States of America and the Republic of Costa Rica. It amends the 1950 Act with respect to, among other things: representation of the US on the InterAmerican Tropical Tuna Commission; appointment by the Secretary of State of a General Advisory Committee and a Scientific Advisory Subcommittee; rulemaking; enforcement.
