Abstract
Part 133 of Title 21 of the Federal Code of Regulations provides for rules regarding the food quality/food safety for cheese and related cheese products.
This Regulation closely defines the following issues: definitions and classification of all recognized types of cheese, including specific provisions for each type (also official names); methods of analysis; notice to manufacturers, packers and distributors of pasteurized blended cheese, pasteurized process cheese, cheese food, cheese spread, and related foods; and requirements for specific standardized cheese and related products.
