Abstract
The Department of Housing and Urban Development's 2021 Federal Climate Adaptation Plan is a national cross-sectoral action plan of the United States. Its main objectives are to update climate risk data and research; collect data and map risk; conduct research on climate resilience; enhance mortgage financing; reduce climate-related financial risk; strengthen disaster recovery and resilience; update CDBG-DR grant requirements to promote resilience and environmental justice; enable a sustainable recovery for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands; strengthen flood resilience standards; expand capacity building; provide climate resilience and environmental justice training; and create community resilience and sustainability resources.
